In order to flip the fortune of the franchise around, the New York Jets hired\u00a0Aaron Glenn<\/strong>\u00a0ahead of the 2025 NFL season. Glenn handed\u00a0Justin Fields<\/strong>\u00a0the starting quarterback job. Ten games in, the Jets are 2-8 following the midweek defeat to rivals New England Patriots.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere,\u00a0Bleacher Report<\/em>\u2018s research team discovered something interesting. According to the NFL win and loss data, the Jets have won 27 games since 2020. But why is it so significant?<\/p>\n

As it turns out, the Jets have won fewer games in that time frame than\u00a0Tom Brady<\/strong>. As readers may remember, Brady ended his two-decade-long relationship with the Patriots and signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in that very year.<\/p>\n

Brady captured his seventh Super Bowl in his first season with Tampa, then spent two more years under center before retiring at the end of the 2022 season. Over those three seasons, he racked up 11, 13, and 8 wins, for a total of 32 victories.<\/p>\n

Just when Jets fans thought Brady could not haunt them anymore, he came back to rub more salt in the wounds. During his time with the\u00a0New England Patriots, he consistently dominated the Big Apple franchise, racking up an impressive 31 wins in 39 matchups (regular season and playoffs).<\/p>\n

This is part of the reason Brady\u2019s regarded as the best football player ever. As for the Jets, they are perennial rebuilders.\u00a0Woody Johnson<\/strong>\u00a0banked too much on a rookie head coach to establish a winning culture. To be fair, Glenn inherited one of the worst rosters in football, excluding a few players like<\/p>\n

Before Glenn, the Jets employed (since 2020)\u00a0Jeff Ulbrich<\/p>\n

<\/strong>,\u00a0Robert Saleh<\/strong>, and\u00a0Adam Gase<\/strong>. Saleh had the best record among the three, winning 20 from 56 games. As a matter of fact, the Jets have lost 67 games since 2020 (according to\u00a0<\/p>\n

The future is looking bleak for Fields. He ranks 27th among quarterbacks with\u00a01259 passing yards. The only players in and around him are either injured or have missed games due to injuries.<\/p>\n

Fields isn\u2019t a bad quarterback, but he\u00a0isn\u2019t a world beater either. Super Bowl-winning offensive lineman\u00a0Willie Colon\u00a0<\/strong>bluntly stated that Fields isn\u2019t an NFL quarterback at all.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s tough\u2026 Because Aaron Glenn is going to sit up here and talk about how he needs to watch the tape. You don\u2019t need to watch anything. Justin Fields is not an NFL quarterback. Let\u2019s be honest.. The tape don\u2019t lie\u2026 I\u2019m on the field. We watch missed throws, bad mechanics, and he doesn\u2019t trust his feet.<\/p>\n

His status as the Jets starter is in jeopardy. Following the short bye week, the Jets play the\u00a0Baltimore Ravens\u00a0in Baltimore. Glenn has plenty of time to decide whether he wants to stick with Fields or start veteran\u00a0<\/p>\n

I\u2019m evaluating myself, the players, schematics, and coaches. I\u2019m evaluating everything. So, I don\u2019t want to just place everything on that, that one situation [quarterback]. I\u2019m just looking at everything, because as a head coach, that\u2019s my job, to make sure that I put this team in the best position to go win games<\/p>\n

Fields signed a two-year contract with the Jets. However, the way the season has panned out, it will not surprise anyone if the Jets decide to trade him next year.<\/p>\n

On Sunday night, Scott Morrow made his New York Rangers debut after being called up from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League earlier that day.<\/p>\n

The Rangers acquired Morrow over the summer as part of the sign-and-trade deal with the Carolina Hurricanes centered around K\u2019Andre Miller.\u00a0<\/p>\n

During training camp, Morrow was given an opportunity to make the opening-night roster, as he played in multiple preseason games while practicing on the second power-play unit.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He was one of the last players to be sent down to the AHL before the start of the 2025-26 season. In 11 games for the Wolf Pack, Morrow recorded one goal, one assist, and two points.<\/p>\n

With Will Borgen out with an upper-body injury, the Rangers called up Morrow, and he was immediately slotted into the lineup in place of Urho Vaakanainen.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old defenseman played 9:56 minutes in his NHL season debut, the fewest amongst all Rangers blueliners.\u00a0<\/p>\n

However, Rangers assistant coach David Quinn praised Morrow for his performance.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI liked his game. I thought Scotty did a good job,\u201d Quinn said. \u201cI thought he kept it simple. He moves the puck well, gets us out of our end when we needed to get out of our end when the chances presented themselves. I thought he defended well.\u201d<\/p>\n
