According to a report highlighted by The Blaze, \u201cOpen Society has sent millions of dollars into U.S.-based organizations that engage in \u2018direct actions\u2019 that the FBI defines as domestic terrorism.\u201d<\/p>\n
The report detailed how OSF allegedly provided over $80 million to groups accused of extremist behavior.<\/p>\n
Among the named groups are the Center for Third World Organizing and the Ruckus Society, which critics claim trained activists in \u201cproperty destruction and sabotage during the 2020 riots.\u201d As one watchdog concluded, \u201cThese groups\u2026 specialize in militant tactics that undermine public order.\u201d<\/p>\n
The allegations aren\u2019t confined to America. Internationally, OSF is accused of bankrolling organizations like Al-Haq and the Al Mezan Center for Human Rights. Both NGOs, operating in Palestinian territories, have been accused of having leadership figures with ties to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a U.S.-designated terrorist organization.<\/p>\n
According to Colorado Politics, records show that OSF awarded grants to Al Mezan earmarked for \u201cmonitoring and documenting human rights and International Humanitarian Law violations.\u201d Critics argue this was a cover for more sinister activity.<\/p>\n
A report from Judicial Watch was even more blunt: \u201cSoros Funds Islamist Extremist Groups in U.S. and Abroad\u2026 most of the terrorist groups have received over a million dollars each from OSF.\u201d This revelation has shaken confidence in the so-called \u201cphilanthropy\u201d and brought fresh demands for accountability.<\/p>\n

Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer, who faced criticism earlier this year for siding with Republicans to keep the government open, now says he is prepared to risk a shutdown at month\u2019s end if GOP leaders reject Democratic demands.<\/p>\n
