This has been a season from hell for the\u00a0Las Vegas Raiders. Injuries, inconsistent play and poor coaching have contributed. Good news has been few and far between for this team in 2025.<\/p>\n
One major injury that has contributed to the rough season is left tackle\u00a0Kolton Miller. After four games, he suffered a serious ankle injury that led to him being sent to Injured Reserve. At first, it looked like he could be out for the year, but head coach Pete Carroll had an exciting update.<\/p>\n
\u201cYeah, I do,\u201d\u00a0Carroll said\u00a0when asked if he thinks Miller can return this season. \u201cHe\u2019s getting around okay, and everything\u2019s pointing towards that.\u201d<\/p>\n
Stone Forsythe has been OK as a replacement for Miller, but the longtime Raiders starter is one of the better left tackles in the\u00a0NFL. The team\u2019s offensive line has played very poorly this year, and Miller is the best player in the group.<\/p>\n
Jackson Powers-Johnson is\u00a0likely out for the season\u00a0now, so the Raiders are down two starters. Getting Miller back would be helpful, but it remains to be seen what the timeline for his possible return could be. If the Raiders continue to lose, they might just hold Miller out for the rest of the season and let him get back to full strength for next year.<\/p>\n
The Raiders are hoping to break a three-game losing streak against the\u00a0Dallas Cowboys\u00a0on Monday. Luckily, they\u2019ve had a mini bye week between playing on Thursday in Week 10 and not having to play until Monday in Week 11.<\/p>\n
The Raiders haven\u2019t done much of anything right this season, and now they\u2019re focusing on the details.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe details are everything,\u201d running back\u00a0Ashton Jeanty said. \u201cAnd you may not think it\u2019s the play where you messed up, but more times than not, it is that play that can change the game in a bad way for you and your team. So every single detail, every single play matters.\u201d<\/p>\n
Quarterback\u00a0Geno Smith\u00a0echoed a similar sentiment to Jeanty.<\/p>\n
\u201cI really think that the lesson is that you\u2019ve got to make the play when the play needs to be made,\u201d Smith said. \u201cAnd that goes for all of us, and myself more importantly. I\u2019ve just got to make the plays and allow the guys to be themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Raiders didn\u2019t have\u00a0Brock Bowers\u00a0for much of the season due to an injury, but he\u2019s easily their best offensive weapon. Despite that, they were inconsistent with how they used him in Week 10 against the\u00a0Broncos.<\/p>\n
Offensive coordinator Chip Kelly is hoping to get the ball to Bowers more often the rest of the way.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have to get him involved,\u201d\u00a0Kelly said on Friday. \u201cHe\u2019s obviously our number one threat out there, and we\u2019ve got to continue to get him involved in terms of what we do. Jacksonville and New England were a good example. We didn\u2019t do a good job, I didn\u2019t do a good job in the Denver game.\u201d<\/p>\n
This is the kind of adversity the Philadelphia Eagles have avoided to this point in the season. Now, they\u2019ll have to figure out how to replace one of the NFL\u2019s elite players.<\/p>\n
Multiple reports on Monday, November 17, said that 5-time NFL All-Pro right offensive tackle and 2-time Super Bowl champion Lane Johnson could land on injured reserve and miss 4-6 weeks with a Lisfranc sprain in his foot suffered in a 16-9 win over the Detroit Lions in Week 11.<\/p>\n
\u201cEagles five-time All-Pro OT Lane Johnson suffered a Lisfranc injury during Sunday night\u2019s win over the Lions, per sources,\u201d ESPN\u2019s Adam Schefter wrote on his official X account. \u201cIt is not expected to be a season ending injury, but he could be headed to injured reserve.\u201d<\/p>\n
Johnson left the game against the Lions and didn\u2019t return, as did center Cam Jurgens. Johnson was replaced in the lineup by Fred Johnson.<\/p>\n
The 6-foot-6, 325-pound Johnson is widely considered one of the greatest offensive linemen not just in Eagles history but in NFL history and a likely future Pro Football Hall of Famer.<\/p>\n
Johnson is in his 13th season and signed a 1-year, $25 million contract extension this offseason and has approximately $163.4 million in career earnings.<\/p>\n

This likely lands him on IR, but belief is not season-ending.\u201d<\/p>\n
Johnson\u2019s latest injury underlined bigger injury issues the Eagles have dealt with all season on the offensive line when it comes to their 5 projected starters.<\/p>\n

\u201cLane Johnson is a first ballot HOF and one of the best Eagles of all time,\u201d Eagles fan Patrick Philly PMC wrote on his official X account. \u201cBut Father Time is undefeated. The Eagles need to find his replacement.\u201d<\/p>\n
In Week 10, Johnson left a Monday Night Football win over the Green Bay Packers with an ankle injury and returned to the game.<\/p>\n
Now, the Eagles will likely have to figure out how to maneuver the rest of the season without one of the NFL\u2019s dominant blockers.<\/p>\n
