Tampa Bay Buccaneers\u00a0running back\u00a0Bucky Irving is getting closer to his return from injury. However, Week 11 gave an\u00a0opportunity for backup Sean Tucker to shine.<\/p>\n
While the\u00a0Buffalo Bills\u00a0hold a 44-32 advantage at the two minute warning, Tucker has put on a show. He has turned 19 carries into 106 yards and two touchdowns. Furthermore, he scored\u00a0his third touchdown of the day on a 28-yard reception.<\/p>\n
Tucker\u2019s first rushing touchdown came from 43-yards out to give the Buccaneers a 17-13 lead at the time. His second score, a six-yard rush, once again gave Tampa Bay a 26-21 advantage. If you\u2019re following the plot here, it\u2019s no shock his third TD also put the Bucs ahead, 32-31.<\/p>\n
But Bills quarterback Josh Allen has been unfazed by Tucker\u2019s heroics. He scored two rushing scores of his own after Tucker\u2019s third, giving Buffalo their two-score lead. Whatever the outcome of the game, both teams have been entwined in a true shootout in Week 11.<\/p>\n
When Irving does make his return from injury, he isn\u2019t going to give up his premiere place in the offense. However, the Buccaneers may need to get Tucker more involved now. Coming into the game, he had run for 120 scoreless yards on 32 carries. But perhaps a longer leash will lead to more big plays coming Tucker\u2019s way.<\/p>\n
For now, Tampa Bay is focused on trying to come back against Buffalo. After the week, they\u2019ll take a long look at where Irving and their offense stands. That\u2019ll include ensuring Tucker gets the ball in open space.<\/p>\n
New York City police have released new images of the suspect wanted in the shooting of former Vikings defensive back\u00a0Kris Boyd.<\/p>\n
Boyd was shot in the abdomen over the weekend, with the bullet entering through his stomach and lodged in his lung, according to\u00a0ABC 7 New York. The 29-year-old is now said to be in stable condition following the incident.<\/p>\n
Police released new photos of the man suspected of shooting Boyd. He was last seen wearing a black cap, black sweatshirts, black pants, multi colored sneakers, and carrying a black book bag.<\/p>\n
Many current and former teammates posted messages on social media, reacting to the news. Former Eden Praire standout and current Jets linebacker\u00a0Jermaine Johnson posted the following on Sunday: “Everybody please send prayers to my brother and teammate Kris Boyd and his family!!”<\/p>\n
Harrison Phillips, who was teammates with when both played for the Vikings and now again on the Jets, posted a prayer.<\/p>\n
“Kris is a fighter and we’re all here for him,” he said.<\/p>\n
Boyd was a seventh-round draft pick by the Vikings in the 2019 NFL Draft. During his four seasons in Minnesota, he appeared in 58 games, registering 95 combined tackles, four fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles, and three passes defended.<\/p>\n
He was let go by the Vikings following the 2022 season, electing to sign with the Arizona Cardinals in free agency. Boyd appeared in four games for the Cardinals before they released him. He signed with the Texans practice squad shortly after, playing in two games during the remainder of the 2023 season.<\/p>\n
Boyd played in all 17 games for the Texans in 2024, primarily as a special teamer. Following the conclusion of the 2024 season, he joined the Jets in free agency. He landed on injured reserve in early August after sustaining\u00a0 shoulder injury during Jets training camp.<\/p>\n
