She and her mother went outdoors to snap a picture on the first day of seventh grade.<\/p>\n

Mills and her mother were outside taking pictures by a tree when they were interrupted by an uninvited guest.<\/p>\n

A number of shots had already been taken, and everything looked wonderful. Mills\u2019 mother then noticed her son.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt blended so well I looked harder and realized what was there,\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0Joy Mills, the girl\u2019s mom, told\u00a0The Dodo.<\/p>\n

There was a snake, stretched out on the tree trunk, looking straight at the preening seventh grader.<\/p>\n

Mills\u2019 mom told her to come over to her right away, and at first she didn\u2019t understand why.<\/p>\n

Because her mother didn\u2019t want to frighten her, Mills didn\u2019t find out about the snake photobombing until she was safely away from the tree.<\/p>\n

She didn\u2019t realize she was sharing her joy with an improbable companion.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen she realized what was behind her she was speechless,\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0Mills said.\u00a0\u201cWe couldn\u2019t believe it when we looked at my phone at the pics and just how close he was and we had no idea.\u201d<\/p>\n

Apparently the snake was envious of all the attention Mills was getting and decided he needed some of his own.<\/p>\n
