It finally happened.

After years of whispers, Reddit threads, grainy YouTube videos, and more “Bigfoot sightings” than the number of Starbucks in Seattle, Expedition Bigfoot star Dr. Mireya Mayor has dropped a truth bomb so massive it could shake the entire cryptozoological community to its very furry core.

The former NFL cheerleader turned primatologist—yes, that’s a real combination—has officially admitted what fans have long suspected but never dared to say out loud: something is definitely out there, and it’s not a bear, not a man in a ghillie suit, and not a trick of the light.

It’s… well, let’s just say the word “Bigfoot” is trending again for a reason.

Let’s rewind for those living under a rock (or possibly in a hidden cave with Sasquatch).

Mireya Mayor, the face and fearless heart of Expedition Bigfoot, has spent years tromping through America’s creepiest forests with a team of tech-wielding monster hunters, scanning trees for heat signatures, collecting hair samples, and pretending not to be terrified.

Viewers have watched her wade through swamps, sleep in haunted cabins, and chase sounds that absolutely no sane person should investigate.

And through it all, she’s played the cool-headed scientist—never confirming, never denying, always “waiting for data. ”

But that poker face? Cracked.

Wide.

Open.

During a recent interview promoting the show’s new season, Mireya finally let something slip.

When asked point-blank if she believed Bigfoot was real, she gave a long pause, smiled, and said, “Let’s just say I’ve seen enough to stop laughing at the people who believe. ”

And that, dear readers, was it.

The internet exploded faster than a campfire after someone yells “Sasquatch!” Reddit lost its collective mind.

Twitter turned into a digital forest of conspiracy.

And one fan commented, “That’s not a confirmation, but it’s definitely not a denial either.

She knows.

SHE KNOWS. ”

But wait—it gets juicier.

Not only did Mireya hint that she’s seen “something” in the wild, but she also teased that there’s new evidence coming that will “change how we think about the species that share this planet with us. ”

Cue dramatic music and blurry trail-cam footage.

Because according to inside sources, what the Expedition Bigfoot team found last season isn’t just another footprint or broken twig.

It’s biological.

As in DNA-level biological.

As in, “the lab guys are freaking out” biological.

An anonymous production assistant (who we’ll call “Chad the Intern”) reportedly told a tabloid, “They found hair samples that came back as ‘unknown primate. ’

I saw the email myself.

One of the scientists even said it didn’t match any known species.

They told us not to talk about it, but seriously—how do you keep quiet when you’ve got proof Bigfoot might have a barber?”

Naturally, skeptics are rolling their eyes so hard they may need medical attention.

One “expert” from a very official-sounding group called the North American Wildlife Foundation said, “This is the same thing every year—blurry pictures, inconclusive DNA, and lots of dramatic music.

If Bigfoot were real, someone would have hit one with a truck by now. ”

(To which one online commenter savagely replied, “Maybe Bigfoot’s just better at crossing the road than you are, Carl. ”)

Still, not everyone’s laughing.

Dr. Henry Lowe, a self-proclaimed “cryptozoological behaviorist” who may or may not have a PhD from an unaccredited online university, insists that Mireya’s comments line up with what “insiders” have been whispering for years.

“She’s seen one,” he said in a breathless Zoom interview.

“Maybe not face-to-face, but enough to know.

These people—Bryce Johnson, Ronny LeBlanc, Russell Acord—they’re not actors.

They’re trackers, scientists, adventurers.

When they say they’ve got something, they mean it.

This could be the next great discovery of our time. ”

Oh, and in case you were wondering, the rest of the Expedition Bigfoot team is being suspiciously quiet.

Bryce Johnson has gone full cryptic on social media, posting nothing but forest emojis and the phrase “Soon. ”

Ronny LeBlanc shared a photo of himself in front of a cave with the caption, “We weren’t alone in there. ”

And Russell Acord simply posted a black-and-white image of muddy footprints with a single word: “Proof. ”

You don’t need to be a tabloid writer (though it helps) to see where this is going.

Fans are already treating Mireya’s admission like it’s the Rosetta Stone of cryptid evidence.

YouTube theorists are breaking down every syllable of her interview like CIA analysts decoding alien transmissions.

“Notice how she pauses before saying ‘seen enough,’” one user said in a 47-minute breakdown video that currently has 300,000 views.

“That pause? That’s the pause of someone who’s seen Bigfoot eating trail mix behind a log. ”

Another theory claims that Discovery Channel is forcing her to stay vague for “maximum suspense,” while others think the team stumbled upon something the government doesn’t want out—like a whole colony of Sasquatches in a restricted forest zone.

Of course, because this is 2025, AI is involved now too.

A group of amateur sleuths fed Mireya’s interview footage into an emotion-detection algorithm, which concluded she showed signs of “genuine awe, mild fear, and 13% disbelief. ”

Translation: She’s seen something she can’t explain.

Or she’s just really good at dramatic TV pauses.

Either way, the fandom is eating it up.

Now, before we go full tinfoil hat, let’s remember who we’re talking about here.

Mireya Mayor isn’t your average cryptid-chasing influencer.

She’s a legitimate scientist, a National Geographic Explorer, and the woman who discovered a new species of lemur—one so small it could probably hide inside a coffee mug.

She’s been face-to-face with gorillas, leopards, and, according to a few tabloid headlines, at least three spirits and one possible chupacabra.

When someone with that kind of resume says, “I’ve seen things,” people listen.

Still, the biggest mystery of all might be why she chose now to open up.

Could it be that Expedition Bigfoot’s ratings were dipping and she needed to stir up buzz? Could it be that Discovery Channel demanded “a viral moment” to compete with all those ghost-hunting shows?

Or—brace yourselves—could it be that they’re preparing for the final reveal?

Insiders claim the upcoming season finale will feature “the most compelling evidence yet,” including thermal drone footage of a massive humanoid shape moving through the forest at 2 a. m.

One crewmember allegedly fainted during playback.

Naturally, not everyone’s buying it.

“It’s just marketing,” scoffed one jaded fan.

“Every year it’s the same thing: ‘This time, we’ve got proof!’ and then it’s another raccoon.

I’ll believe it when Bigfoot does a press conference. ”

Another commenter replied, “If Bigfoot ever does a press conference, he’ll probably have better PR than most politicians. ”

Touché.

Still, the excitement refuses to die down.

Cryptid tourism is already booming in Oregon and Washington, where “Bigfoot trails” and “Sasquatch safaris” are being booked out months in advance.

One enterprising hiker in Northern California claims he’s already found “the exact spot” where the Expedition Bigfoot team filmed their big discovery and is now selling dirt from the area on eBay for $49. 99 a bag.

Capitalism never sleeps, even when the monsters do.

Meanwhile, the scientific community remains politely skeptical.

The Smithsonian’s Dr. Karen Llewellyn said in an interview, “I appreciate Dr. Mayor’s enthusiasm, but extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. ”

Then she added, “But hey, if Bigfoot’s real, maybe he can help me write grant proposals. ”

Not exactly the glowing endorsement believers were hoping for.

As for Mireya, she’s been uncharacteristically quiet since the interview went viral—no tweets, no Instagram updates, no cryptic forest selfies.

Some fans think she’s under a non-disclosure agreement.

Others say she’s back in the field, hunting for the final proof.

And a few tinfoil-clad true believers are convinced she’s gone “off the grid” to keep the truth from being silenced.

One particularly unhinged Reddit thread even suggests she’s currently living with a Sasquatch family “for research purposes. ”

(No word on whether they have Wi-Fi. )

So where does that leave us? Somewhere between scientific curiosity and full-blown hysteria, as usual.

But one thing’s certain—Mireya Mayor just reignited the Bigfoot fire, and fans can’t get enough.

Theories, memes, and fan art are flooding social media faster than Bigfoot allegedly runs through the woods.

There’s even a new TikTok trend called #MireyaKnows, where users film themselves dramatically whispering “He’s real!” into the woods.

Humanity, you never disappoint.

And so the legend continues.

Maybe it’s marketing.

Maybe it’s madness.

Or maybe—just maybe—it’s the truth finally clawing its way out of the shadows.

If Mireya Mayor’s hints are anything to go by, we’re closer than ever to the ultimate revelation: Bigfoot exists, he’s camera shy, and he’s probably judging us for wearing camo in the suburbs.

Until then, keep your trail cams charged, your tents zipped, and your eyes on the trees.

Because as Dr. Mayor herself might say: “I’ve seen enough to stop laughing. ”

And if she’s not laughing anymore… maybe we shouldn’t be either.
