Fox News\u2019 Peter Doocy provided chilling details after a report this week indicated a possible connection between President Donald Trump\u2019s would-be assassin, Thomas Crooks, and Tyler Robinson, the man charged with killing Turning Point USA\u2019s Charlie Kirk.<\/p>\n
\u201cInsisting there is nothing helpful in Thomas Crooks\u2019 digital footprint, there are newly discovered posts believed to be linked to Crooks showing him with guns and showing him with an affinity for assassins. There is a new push to visit bipartisan congressional investigation as investigators claim they were never briefed about any Crooks posts,\u201d Doocy said on Fox & Friends while outside the White House.<\/p>\n

New reporting indicates a connection between Crooks and Robinson.<\/p>\n
Vermont senator says measure could raise healthcare premiums and pave way for Medicaid cuts<\/p>\n
Sen.\u00a0Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., criticized the eight Senate Democrats who joined Republicans in voting to advance a continuing resolution during the procedural vote in the U.S. Senate on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Sanders called the move “a very, very bad vote” in a video posted to his X account.<\/p>\n
“Tonight, 8 Democrats voted with the Republicans to allow them to go forward on this continuing resolution,” Sanders said. “And to my mind, this was a very, very bad vote.”<\/p>\n
The continuing resolution was originally designed to temporarily fund the federal government and avert a shutdown but, according to Sanders, it contained provisions or omissions that would raise\u00a0healthcare premiums, set the stage for Medicaid cuts and benefit high-income earners through tax changes.<\/p>\n

Sanders argued the measure “raises healthcare premiums for over 20 million Americans by doubling, and in some cases tripling or quadrupling them.” He continued, “People can\u2019t afford that when we are already paying the highest prices in the world for healthcare.”<\/p>\n
He goes on to say in the video that “it paves the way for 15 million people to be thrown off of Medicaid. Studies show that will mean some 50,000 Americans will die every year unnecessarily. And all of that was done to give a trillion dollars in tax breaks to the 1%.”<\/p>\n
“As everybody knows, just on Tuesday, we had an election all over this country,” Sanders said. “And what the election showed is that the American people wanted us to stand up to Trumpism \u2014 to his war against working-class people, to his authoritarianism. That is what the American people wanted. But tonight, that is not what happened.”<\/p>\n
In Sanders\u2019 video, he frames the procedural vote as not only about keeping the government open, but as representing a broader policy direction that, in his view, undermined healthcare protections and working-class interests.<\/p>\n
“So we\u2019ve got to go forward, do the best that we can to ensure and protect working-class people, to make sure that the United States not only does not throw people off of healthcare, but ends the absurdity of being the only major country on earth that doesn\u2019t guarantee healthcare to all people,” Sanders said. “We have a lot of work to do, but to be honest with you, tonight was not a good night.”<\/p>\n
According to the\u00a0nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office\u00a0(CBO), if the enhanced Affordable Care Act subsidies enacted under the American Rescue Plan are allowed to expire, millions of Americans could face higher marketplace premiums. The CBO\u2019s 2023 analysis of health coverage provisions showed that ending the expanded subsidies would significantly increase out-of-pocket costs for enrollees in ACA marketplaces.<\/p>\n

Studies cited by the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP), chaired by Sanders, have also estimated that large-scale cuts to Medicaid could lead to tens of thousands of preventable deaths annually.<\/p>\n
In a 2023\u00a0HELP Committee report\u00a0on Sanders\u2019 website, the committee referenced peer-reviewed research published in Health Affairs and The Lancet Public Health, determining that a loss of Medicaid coverage is associated with higher mortality due to decreased access to preventive and emergency care.<\/p>\n

The report is also supported by other documents on the site, including findings from a June 2025 letter from researchers at the Yale School of Public Health and the University of Pennsylvania\u2019s Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics, which warned that proposed federal healthcare cuts “could lead to over 51,000 preventable deaths annually.”<\/p>\n
Sanders\u2019 comments were published on his official website in many of his press releases dating back to March of this year and echo his longstanding opposition to Republican budget proposals he says favor “the 1%” at the expense of working Americans.<\/p>\n
Emmanuel Haro\u2019s father was tricked into admitting that he\u00a0killed the 7-month-old\u00a0and dumped his body in a trash can, according to a new report \u2014 as authorities say the baby died after enduring lengthy abuse by his parents.<\/p>\n
Investigators used an undercover inmate to goad Jake Haro into admitting to the grisly crime,\u00a0NewsNation\u2019s Brian Entin\u00a0reported, citing sources.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, authorities said they can prove\u00a0Emmanuel died after a long period of physical abuse\u00a0at the hands of Haro and his wife Rebecca at their home Riverside County, California.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe believe baby Emmanuel was subject to abuse over time, and because of that abuse, he succumbed to his injuries,\u201d Riverside County District Attorney Michael Hestrin told reporters Wednesday.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have a pretty strong indication of where the remains of baby Emmanuel are,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Jake Haro\u2019s wife, Rebecca, initially told cops a strange man had hit her on the head and snatched the kid while she was changing his diaper outside a sporting goods store in San Bernardino on August 14.<\/p>\n
Sheriff\u2019s deputies arrested the Haros several days later and charged them with murder, citing \u201cinconsistencies\u201d in their stories.<\/p>\n
Jake Haro changed the story from jail, telling cops he rolled over on Emmanuel while he slept and suffocated him, burying his body near a freeway, according to Brian Entin\u2019s source.<\/p>\n
The freeway story may explain why Jake Haro was seen with investigators in a remote field in Moreno Valley.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have some ideas in terms of where we\u2019re going to look and where we\u2019re going to continue to investigate,\u201d Hestrin said.<\/p>\n
Hestrin pointed to a 2023 child abuse conviction against Haro, 32, who severely beat his young daughter from a previous marriage, leaving the girl bedridden with permanent injuries.<\/p>\n
Hestrin said Haro should have been in prison after that incident, which left his child with fractured ribs, a fractured skull, a brain hemorrhage, and other injuries.<\/p>\n
Yet Haro received no jail time.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat decision was absolutely outrageous. Mr. Haro should have been in prison,\u201d Hestrin said.<\/p>\n
Authorities confirmed that both Jake and Rebecca Haro will be charged with murder, but they emphasized that they do not have a precise location for Emmanuel\u2019s body.<\/p>\n
Police also tried to dupe Rebecca Haro with a similar undercover inmate operation, also known as a \u201csnitch jacket,\u201d but she stuck by her story, NewsNation reported.<\/p>\n
Emmanuel may have been dead weeks before the couple reported the kidnapping, Entin added.<\/p>\n
The couple has two other children: A 2-year-old daughter and a 16-year-old, who is Jake\u2019s stepchild. The daughter has been taken into the care of Riverside Child Protective Services.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The parents were set to be arraigned on Tuesday, but the appearance was postponed until next week.<\/p>\n
The Riverside County Sheriff \u2014 which is conducting a joint investigation with cops in San Bernardino \u2014 revealed that they responded to a report of suspected child abuse near the sporting-goods store on the same day Emmanuel vanished \u2014 and that the Haros are linked to that probe.<\/p>\n
Sheriff\u2019s deputies said the report involved a home on Cottonwood Avenue in Moreno Valley, just down the road from the Big 5 Sporting Goods, where Rebecca claimed to have been attacked.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe investigation is related to the Haros and no further details are available,\u2019\u2019 authorities said in a statement, referring to the child-abuse report.<\/p>\n
