“I didn’t think it would escalate like that, but it is what it is,” St. Brown said when asked about the fine. “I’ll take the fine and move forward. We’re focused on the next game.”
Despite the drama surrounding the incident, Amon-Ra St. Brown continues to perform at an elite level this season. With 64 catches for 693 yards
and eight touchdowns, he remains one of the top targets in the Lions’ offense. The incident will likely be a minor blemish on an otherwise stellar campaign for the wide receiver.
As the Lions continue their push for the playoffs, St. Brown’s focus remains on helping his team succeed, despite the unexpected financial hit from this week’s controversy.
The Minnesota Wild (8-7-4) is back on home ice tonight to host the Vegas Golden Knights (8-4-5). The Wild will be without forward Vladimir Tarasenko for the second straight game.
Tarasenko, 33, has two goals and ten points in 18 games this year for the Wild. He missed Saturday’s game against the Anaheim Ducks with a lower-body injury and will not play again on Sunday.
Wild head coach John Hynes said after the game that Tarasenko’s status will be day-to-day.
