After listing the Democratic Party candidates and urging the recipient to vote, the sender stated that “each candidate will pay you 100 dollars for your vote.”

The North Carolina Republican Party confirmed that they had reviewed unreacted messages it had received before forwarding them to the State Board of Elections for further investigation.
