The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Will Michael Uncover the Shocking Truth About Mitch?

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Will Michael Uncover the Shocking Truth About Mitch?

When we last saw The Young and the Restless’ Michael, he was talking to Victor at the GCAC, and Victor asked him to do a background check on Sienna. Victor is curious to know what her connection is to Noah and whether she was involved in Noah’s car crash somehow.

We have yet to hear what Michael discovered, if anything. Does he know that Sienna’s husband, Mitch, is really Matt Clark?

Over a week ago on The Young and the Restless, Victor (Eric Braeden) assigned Michael (Christian LeBlanc) with the task of researching Sienna Bacall’s (Tamara Braun) background. He told Michael she runs The Shadow Room nightclub in L.A. and she is an acquaintance of Noah’s (Lucas Adams). Since Noah was last seen in The Shadow Room before the car crash, could Michael find out whether she had anything to do with the crash?

Since Victor gave Michael that assignment, Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) made the shocking discovery that Mitch (Roger Howarth) is really Matt Clark, the man who raped Sharon over twenty years ago. We know how sharp Michael is, so he may stumble upon this information when he researches Sienna.

Last week on The Young and the Restless, Nick told Sharon not to tell Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) that Matt Clark is alive and that Mitch is really Matt. He wants to find out what Mitch’s “end game” is first. He knew that if Sharon revealed the news to his mother and sister, they would then tell Victor.

But what if Michael finds out this stunning news and he tells Victor? It feels unrealistic that Nick wants to keep this discovery between Sharon and himself. He knows the second Victor gets the news, all he needs to do is call his “people” and they will instantly handle the Matt Clark problem. Why is Nick making this situation harder for himself and Sharon than it needs to be?

Unfortunately, Nick always lets his temper get the best of him and lets his fists do the talking. When he returned to The Shadow Room and saw with his own eyes that Mitch is indeed Matt, he punched him in the face. Sienna had to act as the peacemaker and get in between them.

Let’s hope Michael finds out that Sienna’s husband is not who he says he is. The sooner he learns the truth, the sooner he can report back to Victor and fill him in on the fact that Matt is most likely targeting Noah as a way of getting revenge against Nick and Sharon. Or is the real reason because Matt knows Sienna is cheating on him with Noah?

Either way, Matt won’t want to go up against Victor. He will lose. Since Nick doesn’t like to deal with his enemies in a civil way, maybe he should step back and let his father take care of Matt. At least Victor would be keeping the entire Newman family safe, which would be a more productive way for him to spend his time than to wreak havoc on other GC businesses with the dangerous and illegal AI program.

Kate embraces Lucas at the Pub but warns that Sami is also coming home. Lucas knows she doesn’t want to see him and plans to avoid her. Cue Sami entering, looking for her father. She learns he’s not there and allows Lucas a minute of her time. He needs less than that to clock the diamond on her ring finger. She admits she’s engaged and that no man has ever made her this happy. Lucas sheepishly says she deserves it. They grow emotional as she states they’ll never be best friends again, but she knows he’s sorry for kidnapping her and blaming EJ. However, she knows about regret and doesn’t want to bring their darkness into her new chapter. She forgives him.

Cat comes to EJ’s office and overhears his phone conversation with Kayla about Thomas’ accident. She blames herself because Thomas saw her and Chad hugging. EJ assures her his nephew will be fine and it’s not her fault. If anyone’s to blame, it’s Clyde Weston. They commiserate over the villain wreaking havoc on all three of their lives.

After Cat leaves, Sami surprises EJ with a visit. They exchange genuine pleasantries before she says she’s throwing Johnny and Chanel a baby shower. She’s only telling him because she doesn’t want him to crash it. Also, she’s engaged to Dante Vitali, as in Ava Vitali’s cousin. However, Dante doesn’t even know the mobster side of his family in Pennsylvania, since his family stayed in Italy. EJ doesn’t think that makes him less dangerous and smugly accuses her of marrying Dante to prove she’s moved on from him. She playfully accuses him of being jealous. He bets she doesn’t make it down the aisle. Sami points out that vindictive streak is why he’s not invited to the baby shower and why Rafe is Little T’s honorary grandfather.

When Thomas says he won’t go home from the hospital with Chad, Jennifer says she’ll take him. That, of course, leads to another round of yelling (in the lobby, far from Thomas, fortunately) over her threats to sue for custody. Chad accuses her of wanting her grandchildren because she can’t have her daughter. “I lost her, too, Jennifer!” But you don’t deal with loss by taking from someone else, he shouts. “There is no way in hell you are taking my kids!” Jennifer defends her stance, confident she has enough evidence to convince a judge, and lands the most hurtful blow: “Your son doesn’t feel safe with you.” A distressed Cat watches from across the nurses’ hub as they argue about her and how Chad is supposedly putting his kids’ lives in danger.

After infuriating Philip with news of using the Kiriakis mansion as collateral for a much-needed Titan loan, Maggie visits Julie at the Horton House. Julie relays how Holly and Tate’s interview brought up memories of the past, and she and Maggie reflect on their respective love stories with Doug and Mickey.

Philip arrives at the Pub for a “screwed up brothers” reunion with Lucas. Philip slams a drink as they sit with Kate. He confides that if he can’t turn Titan around, they’ll lose everything his father worked his entire life to build. There’s no way in hell Kate will let that happen. She once loved Victor and shared a child with him, whose legacy is now being threatened. Philip reminds her that Vivian did the heavy lifting by birthing him. Kate doesn’t want to hear that name again, especially after recent events. She steps away to handle Pub business, leaving Philip to confide in Lucas about the forged letter.

In EJ’s office, Sami tells her ex that he brings on his own misery and isolation, and it breaks her heart. She wants him to fix things with their son, but they have to work it out themselves. Since she might not get a chance to see him before she leaves after the party tomorrow, she earnestly says, “Goodbye, EJ.” “Goodbye, Samantha,” he responds. She chokes up and leaves.

Chad comes to see EJ for legal advice. “Please tell me Jennifer doesn’t have a case.” EJ fears that when a legal dispute involves children, anything is possible. Until they see how things play out, EJ invites Chad back to the mansion to put distance between himself and Jennifer.

When Jennifer brings Thomas to the Horton House, she privately tells Julie that she is hiring Justin. She hopes she has her support to sue Chad for custody of Thomas and Charlotte.

Seeing Sami in the hospital lobby, Cat says she feels familiar to her. Sami agrees they may have bumped into each other in the past, but brushes it off and leaves. Cat flashes back to wearing a patient’s gown and robe in a clinic. She stands in a doorway as an emotional Sami sits at a bandaged man’s bedside. (Fair to assume it’s EJ?) Another time, Cat reads Wuthering Heights to the still bandaged and seemingly comatose man. In the present, Cat’s unsettled expression darts.
