8.MOMENT GOP Congress Man Eli Crane TOTALLY DESTROY Democrat Governor Tim Walz Using His Own Words

MOMENT GOP Congress Man Eli Crane TOTALLY DESTROY Democrat Governor Tim Walz Using His Own Words

The Rhetoric vs. Reality: Governor Walz’s Congressional Roasting

The recent congressional hearing was a masterclass in political confrontation, featuring GOP Congressman

Eli Crane absolutely torching Democrat Governor Tim Walz on a variety of issues, ranging from immigration policy to incendiary rhetoric. Crane didn’t just ask questions; he delivered an execution via the Governor’s own words, showcasing a perceived disconnect between Walz’s statements and the hard realities of his state’s policies.

The Immigration Inconsistencies: “Why Are You Lying?”

The exchange began with a direct challenge to the Governor’s opening statement, where Walz claimed that “nothing Minnesota has done stands in the way of federal government managing its border security policy.” Crane immediately called him out, asking,

“Why are you lying to this committee?”

The core of Crane’s attack was the public stance of Minnesota’s Attorney General, Keith Ellison, the state’s top law enforcement official. Crane submitted an article stating that AG Ellison “will not enforce federal immigration laws,” even as the DOJ threatens prosecution for officials who resist. Walz’s defense—claiming state law requires officials to ask for immigration status of convicted felons—was swiftly dismissed by Crane as a misrepresentation, insisting that the AG’s public defiance stands as a clear contradiction to the Governor’s assurance of non-interference.

Crane then moved to the argument that Minnesota’s policies actively create a border magnet, citing a list of state benefits: free healthcare, food assistance, free college tuition, driver’s licenses, and cash assistance.

In Crane’s judgment, these policies are not “helping” border security but are rather creating an irresistible incentive, effectively making Minnesota a “sanctuary state” in practice, regardless of official designation.

The Toxic Messaging: ICE and the “Gustapo”

The scrutiny intensified as Crane addressed the Governor’s rhetoric, particularly Walz’s past characterization of ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement)

agents.

Crane grilled Walz on his decision to call federal law enforcement agents

“modern-day Gustapo,” a deeply offensive historical parallel. Crane challenged the Governor directly: “You think that calling them Gustapo is helping?” Walz attempted to pivot to a defense of “due process” and “best practice in law enforcement,” but Crane hammered the point that such inflammatory language from a state executive actively hurts the federal government’s ability to carry out its mandated enforcement.

Further damaging the Governor’s credibility was an unverified quote where Walz allegedly told Anderson Cooper, regarding the border wall, “If it’s 25 ft, then I’ll invest in a 30-foot ladder factory.” Walz claimed not to remember the comment, which Crane seized upon as evidence of “so many outlandish things that you can’t even keep track of them.”

The Radical Agenda and Electoral Damage

Crane saved his most powerful and judgmental rebuke for the end, focusing on what he labeled Walz’s “radical left-wing agenda.”

He dismissed Walz’s previous podcast boast that he scares MAGA voters “because they know I can fix a truck” and could “kick most of their asses,” countering that the fear stems purely from his policies.

Crane’s list of “radical” policies included:

Supporting tampons in boys’ bathrooms.

Advocating for disarming Americans of their Second Amendment rights.

Being pro-sanctuary city.

Claiming there is “no guarantee to free speech”

when it comes to misinformation and hate speech—a view Crane acidly suggested Walz may have picked up during one of his alleged trips to “communist China.”

Finally, Crane weaponized Walz’s political aspirations against him, referencing a quote where Walz allegedly said Kamala Harris picked him for Vice President to “code talk to white guys.” Crane closed the interrogation with a decisive blow, stating Walz

“lost by 22 points to white guys” and promising: “If you want to continue that rhetoric, go on, brother. Keep doing it. We’ll keep destroying you in election.“

The entire spectacle, as the transcript concludes, was a decisive, one-sided clash where Congressman Crane used facts, undeniable quotes, and logic to demonstrate, in his judgment, the severe consequences of Governor Walz’s radical ideology and inflammatory rhetoric.

Hochul Pumps The Brakes On Mamdani’s $700 Million Free Bus Plan

The wheels are coming off the socialist bus.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul is tapping the brakes on Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani’s $700 million plan for free city buses, casting early doubt on one of the far-left lawmaker’s biggest campaign promises, The New York Post reported.

Speaking at the SOMOS political retreat in Puerto Rico on Saturday, Hochul said she’s already spent heavily to support the city’s struggling MTA and questioned how much further the state could go.

“I continue to be excited at the work of making the slowest buses in America fast and free,” Mamdani said Monday during an unrelated press conference. “And I appreciate the governor’s continued partnership in delivering on that agenda of affordability.”

But Hochul’s comments in San Juan marked the latest break between the moderate Democratic governor and Mamdani, the Democratic socialist she endorsed just two months ago.

Hochul happily rode Mamdani’s coattails during the campaign as he energized progressives with promises of affordability and social programs, but she has shown far less enthusiasm for actually paying for them.

The governor has rejected several of Mamdani’s cornerstone ideas, including proposals to raise taxes on wealthy New Yorkers to fund $10 billion in new benefits like free child care and fareless transit.

Her caution could create a serious roadblock for the incoming mayor, whose ambitious plans rely on support from Albany to move forward.

The top two Democratic leaders in the state Legislature — Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie and Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins — have signaled more willingness to help Mamdani pursue his agenda.

That divide leaves Hochul increasingly isolated from the party’s energized left flank, which has been openly pressuring her to embrace higher taxes on the rich.

During recent public appearances, activists have twice interrupted the governor with chants of “Tax the rich,” drawing a sharp rebuke.

“The more you push me, the more I’m not going to do what you want,” Hochul told the SOMOS crowd in response.

Still, Hochul did not fully reject Mamdani’s wish list.

She said she’s open to working with him on expanding free child care, though she made clear it would be an expensive and long-term goal.

“We’ll be on a path to get there, because I’m committed to this as ‘mom governor’ — I get it,” Hochul said.

“But also to do it statewide, right now, it’s about $15 billion — the entire amount of my reserves.”

The cautious tone was a reality check for Mamdani, who has portrayed himself as the champion of “everyday New Yorkers” and promised to make the city more affordable through massive new public spending.

Hochul’s remarks also came as she continues her own political maneuvering ahead of a likely 2026 re-election bid.

After the SOMOS conference, she flew to the Dominican Republic to attend a breakfast celebrating cross-cultural exchange — an event seen as an appeal to one of New York’s largest and most influential immigrant voting blocs.

Hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers trace family roots to the Dominican Republic, making the outreach a politically savvy move for a governor seeking to rebuild her base while keeping the party’s left wing at arm’s length.

Whether Hochul and Mamdani can maintain their uneasy alliance may determine not only the future of free buses and child care, but also the balance of power within the New York Democratic Party.

Beloved Hollywood manager Peter Meyer, who represented A-list stars like Tom Hanks and Kevin Costner, passed away at 68 after a brave five-year battle with sarcoma. His sister shared, “After a heroic fight, Meyer found peace surrounded by his family.” The entertainment industry, along with his clients and friends, is deeply mourning his loss.

Meyer, who spent over a decade as a talent agent at William Morris, went on to establish Meyer Management in 1989, representing a wide array of talents throughout his illustrious career. A memorial service will be held on June 13, 2023, at St. Monica’s Catholic Church in Santa Monica to honor his legacy.

Meanwhile, Kevin Costner, currently navigating his divorce from Christine Baumgartner, has made a significant financial commitment to his ambitious Western project, the Horizon franchise. Costner mortgaged a 10-acre waterfront property in Santa Barbara, contributing up to $50 million of the project’s $100 million budget. Despite the financial risks, Costner remains passionate about the project, stating, “I believe in the idea and the story.” He also emphasized that this would be his final personal investment in a film, saying, “I’m never putting my money in another movie after these four.”

Unlikely Senate Duo Crosses The Aisle To Help End Government Shutdown

While it’s true the modern political climate in the United States is heavily divided along party lines, Pennsylvania Senators Dave McCormick (R) and John Fetterman (D) have been bucking the trend by providing an encouraging example of bipartisanship. The two senators recently released a video urging an end to the government shutdown, which is beginning to take a toll on average Americans. The collaboration features Fetterman saying, “Even though we are in a different party, we both want to talk about why we believe it’s so important to reopen this government.”

McCormick shares this sentiment in the video by saying, “23 days, 12 votes, Senator Fetterman and I have both voted to open up the government. We agree on that 100%. It’s really starting to hurt Pennsylvania.”

Some of the folks who are now beginning to feel the pinch from the shutdown include air traffic controllers and border patrol agents who are working to secure the border and keep the country safe. Resources set aside for two million SNAP users are starting to run low, which means those who use the service to support their families during tough economic times could go without the resources they need to get by.

By acknowledging this reality, both senators are demonstrating a commitment that goes beyond party allegiance and addresses their constituents’ concerns and needs.

Both senators have also been deeply involved in efforts to pass bills that would alleviate the suffering caused by the shutdown. They voted in favor of a measure to pay certain federal workers during the deadlock. Unfortunately, these measures did not pass in the Senate.

Many are hoping that the bipartisanship on display between McCormick and Fetterman will rub off on others in the Senate and help heal some of the division that is ripping the country apart and preventing an agreement that will get the government up and running.

Conservatives and even a handful of Democrats are hopeful that seeing these two work together for the betterment of their constituents will lead others to see that collaboration between individuals with different political ideologies is possible when politicians, elected to represent the people, put the needs of others above their own.

While there are many different areas of disagreement between Republicans and Democrats concerning the shutdown, providing healthcare for illegal aliens is one of the biggest hurdles to cross. President Donald Trump has made it clear he will not compromise on this issue.

Trump Praised By Clinton, Schumer After Historic Israel-Hamas Peace Deal

Former President Donald Trump is receiving rare praise from Democrats and political opponents after brokering a peace deal between Israel and Hamas, effectively ending two years of devastating conflict. The deal follows the October 2023 Hamas attack that killed 1,300 Israelis and took over 250 hostages. Israel responded with a massive military campaign that killed thousands in Gaza and left widespread destruction.

With the support of Qatar and other regional partners, the Trump administration successfully negotiated a ceasefire that included the release of all 20 remaining Israeli hostages and more than 1,900 Palestinian prisoners. Former President Bill Clinton publicly commended Trump’s involvement, stating that he and his team “deserve great credit” for staying committed to the negotiations. Clinton emphasized the importance of turning this “fragile moment” into a foundation for lasting peace.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer also acknowledged Trump’s contribution, calling the hostages’ release “a wonderful day” and expressing gratitude for the administration’s work. Trump, in remarks to Israeli leaders, urged a move away from warfare toward diplomacy and described the agreement as a pivotal moment for long-term regional stability.

Other Democratic leaders, including House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and former President Barack Obama, praised the ceasefire and the flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza. However, they did not directly credit Trump. Still, their support for the outcome highlights the significance of the agreement and the hope it brings to the region.

When asked about the longevity of the ceasefire, Trump said the future is uncertain but vowed to continue supporting peace efforts, expressing hope that another Republican would carry on his work after his term ends.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. and Bill and Hillary Clinton are leading a chorus of prominent Democrats praising President Donald Trump for the Israel-Hamas ceasefire deal and the release of the remaining living hostages.

The support from across the aisle comes as the Gaza-based terrorist group Hamas freed all 20 remaining living hostages held in the Gaza Strip on Monday.

“Today is a wonderful day. Finally, finally, finally, the last living hostages brutally held by Hamas are home, an immense and overwhelming sigh of relief,” Schumer said in a statement. “I commend the enormous advocacy of the tireless hostage families, President Trump, his administration, and all who helped make this moment happen.” “President Trump and his administration, Qatar, and other regional actors deserve great credit for keeping everyone engaged until the agreement was reached,” added former President Bill Clinton.

Trump visited Israel on Monday to address Israel’s parliament, the Knesset, and met with some of the families of the released hostages. While returning home on Air Force One, the president was asked by a reporter for his reaction to Clinton’s remark.

“I\\’ve always liked Bill Clinton. I\\’ve always gotten along with him,” Trump said. “I thought it was very nice, actually. And what is he doing? He\\’s telling the truth.”

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton also praised Trump, telling CBS News\\’ Norah O\\’Donnell on Friday, “I really commend President Trump and his administration, as well as Arab leaders in the region for making the commitment to the 20-point plan and seeing a path forward for what’s often called the day after.”

The Trump administration had published a 20-point plan in late September on how it would end the war in Gaza.
