Hartlepool actor Lewis Cope is through to this week’s Strictly Come Dancing show after performing an energetic Cha Cha Cha on Saturday night.
Lewis, 30, and his dance partner Katya Jones came third top of the leaderboard on Saturday, November 8, after dancing the Cha Cha Cha to the 1960s song I Like it Like That by Pete Rodriguez.
The couple scored 35 out of a possible 40, getting a positive reaction from the judges.
Judge Shirley Ballas said: “Well yeah baby, I like it like that. You did a grand job.”
The former Emmerdale actor and his dance partner received two eights from Craig Revel Horwood and Anton Du Beke and two nines from Shirley and Motsi Mabuse.
This came after their top scoring performance the week before on Saturday, November 2, where the pair earned 40 out of 40 for their dance routine performed to the soundtrack Creep by Radiohead.
Strictly Come Dancing’s results show, on Sunday, November 9, featured a musical performance from James Morrison of Fight Another Day, accompanied by professional dancers Jowita Przystal and Neil Jones.
The Band of the Royal Air Force Regiment also joined the Strictly professionals for a group performance to mark Remembrance Sunday, set to the Sam Fender song Remember My Name.
Lewis and Katya and the other seven remaining couples will return to the Strictly Come Dancing dancefloor on Saturday, November 15 at 6.25pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, followed by the Sunday results show on November 16 at 7.15pm.

The Herbert-Braxtons, married in late 2007 after about five years together, purchased the 13,716-square-foot mansion inside the double-gated Estates at The Oaks enclave in April 2013 for $10.5 million and public records show since then there have been several notices of default filed and subsequently canceled against the two-acre spread that provides a total of seven bedrooms and nine full and two half bathrooms between the main house and poolside guesthouse.
Wrought iron and glass front doors open to an entry vestibule and foyer with black and white floral-patterned inlaid floor and a floating, wrought iron railed staircase that curves up to the bedrooms on the second floor. The main living and entertaining space makes a great sweep across the rear of the residence with gleaming wide-plank hardwood floors laid in a classy chevron pattern.
A central gallery with glossy grand piano is flanked to one side by a lounge with semi-circular sofa in front of an ornate fireplace and to the other by a “champagne bar” modeled after The Dorchester Hotel in London with tufted velvet sofas and a stately wood-paneled ceiling.

The mansion makes a U-shaped embrace around a broad and grassy courtyard with swimming pool and spa beyond which a soccer pitch-sized lawn gives way to a panoramic view over rugged ravines and undeveloped mountaintops.
