THE REAL reason that Dancing with the Stars’ past seasons continue to be left off of all streaming platforms has been revealed.
Since the show premiered 20 years ago, there’s been a massive shift in the way viewers consume content, and the show has not yet fully pivoted into the modern era.
Currently, if fans want to watch past seasons of DWTS, they are limited to very few options.
Only seasons 31 to the latest season 34 are available on Disney+, while Hulu only includes episodes from the season that is currently airing.
Seasons 1 through 30 are nowhere to be found online, and according to a production insider, that will not be changing in the near future.
“The reason Dancing with the Stars past seasons aren’t available on streaming is because production cannot afford what it would cost for the music licensing.
“It would easily cost millions, well into the 10 figures, to use the music for all the seasons.
“So no, there are no discussions to change that anytime soon. No active talks and it’s not a priority to the network,” a source told The U.S. Sun.
The insider then explained: “The show would not be able to profit from streaming it.
“And frankly, it’s just purely a business decision as to why it hasn’t happened yet.”
Additionally, residuals would have to be paid out to previous cast members, which would add to the costly decision for ABC.
While the exact numbers of the DWTS music budget cannot be confirmed, it is speculated that the show spends tens of thousands of dollars per episode on licensing songs.
The price of the song varies, as a chart-topper would cost much more than a lesser-known song.
Additionally, the exclusive use of the song and the timeline the song is used for impacts the cost.
On DWTS, the house band, led by longtime bandleader Ray Chew, plays live cover versions of the songs; however, they still cost money to use.
The live covers are due to the rights of using the song, not the cost, according to the production insider.
If the show did not get rights directly from the artist, they are still able to use the live band cover; however, it still costs money to play the track.
Fans have longed to watch previous seasons of the show on streaming platforms and have complained about the lack of options online.
“It’s ridiculous that in the year 2025, we are still not able to watch old seasons ANYWHERE,” one fan raged.
“I cannot believe that they’ve given us zero way of going back to old seasons,” another shocked viewer wrote.
While one more expressed that Disney should make a separate streaming service just for “all the seasons” and noted they’d “pay a lot” for that app.
Jenelle Evans, an alum of “Teen Mom 2,” reportedly has a case to answer with CPS after someone within her circle made a complaint against her for leaving her kids alone on multiple occasions.
Although Evans has since denied leaving her kids alone, reports are claiming that she was out partying in these instances while her older child, Jace, was left to take care of his younger ones, Kaiser and Ensley.
Jenelle Evans also recently reacted to strange comments made by her son, Jace, about his living situation and an incident with his stepfather, David Eason.

According to The U.S. Sun, Evans was reported to CPS by someone within her circle who was concerned about her repeatedly leaving her children home alone.
The reality star has three kids, Jace, Kaiser, and Ensley, whom she had with three different men: Andrew Lewis, Nathan Griffith, and David Eason, respectively.
She recently moved to a house in Las Vegas after previously living in North Carolina with her children, but has reportedly displayed a habit of leaving her younger kids, Kaiser and Ensley, in the care of her teenage son, Jace, 16, while she goes out partying with friends.
“Tori moved into the house recently, and she’s expected to be staying there for a while, and they are constantly going out and partying together,” said a source who is aware of the situation.

“Jenelle has left Kaiser and Ensley with Jace to go out on several occasions,” the source added. “It’s gotten so bad that someone close to the family has contacted CPS.”

Proof of Evans partying wildly is scattered across her social media pages. One photo shared online showed Evans alongside her OnlyFans friend Tori Rhyne on the red carpet for Sin City Swim Week.
She later posted a follow-up photo where she talked about how she partied heavily at a local club in Vegas.
“Still recovering from Omnia Night Club…,” Evans captioned a post of her in bed with a bandaged hand.
She added, “Literally, I think I broke my hand/ wrist, had a great time thou.”

In another series of photos, the mother of three was seen enjoying herself with the same friend in Las Vegas.
In her defense, Evans told The U.S. Sun that her children are never left alone when she goes out.
“That’s not true,” the reality star denied the rumors. “I have a babysitter, I’ve had the same babysitter for a while, I use Care.com.”
Evans also refuted the claims that CPS is involved, saying, “CPS has not come to my house at all.”

Despite Evans’ denial, it appears her son, Jace, is displeased with his “living situation” as seen in leaked text messages from him posted on Tuesday night.
“I don’t care about Kaiser and Ensley I care about my health and my living situation,” read one of the texts, which showed a conversation between the teenager and Evans.
“I don’t need you you don’t need me and I don’t understand why ur doing this just because I’m telling the truth ur crazy,” the text continued.
Evans, angered by her son’s remark, accused him of trying to get her custody taken away and fired back with an expletive.
In another photo shared by Jace, the “Teen Mom 2” star was seen accusing her son of lying about being strangled by her ex, Eason, whom she recently split from.
In response, the teenager claimed that he “never lied,” to which Evans replied that she had video proof showing otherwise.

Following public backlash over the messages, Evans gave a lengthy response where she explained her own side of the family drama.
Speaking with TMZ, she claimed that the public misconstrued the messages and everything she does for her children is done “to try and protect, guide, and love them.”
“Jace posting our private texts was his reaction to being rightfully disciplined, and while it hurts to see those moments shared publicly, I know it comes from a place of struggle,” she added.
The reality star also mentioned Jace’s “medical diagnoses,” and alleged “trouble with the law,” in her statement, seemingly suggesting this may be why he was acting out.
She went on to ask for privacy from the public as they deal with their family drama.
