'9-1-1' Season 9 Premiere Review: This Show Is Finally Back on Track After Bobby's Death

As a longtime, devoted fan of 9-1-1, I enjoyed seeing the show go viral recently for its Season 9 promo, which included teasers promising the 118 dealing with a meteor shower, and Hen (

The sudden death of Bobby Nash (Peter Krause) caused a major shift in tone for the remainder of 9-1-1’s previous season, so I was curious to see how the show would come back from that. After watching this week’s episode, I can say that

9-1-1 can certainly do big emergencies well, which it’s gearing up to do in the next two episodes. I enjoy this show the most when it does the silly calls, though, which it really leans into in this episode. The 118 is running smoothly in Bobby’s absence, due largely to

The first call focuses on tech billionaire Tripp Houser (

9-1-1 promised in its promo that the premiere would take us to space, and it sets the stage for these events in “Eat the Rich.” The episode starts with a brief flash-forward to two astronauts dodging debris in space two weeks after the events of the premiere, and then we see the build-up of what is going to bring Hen and Athena to space. After the 118 saves Tripp’s life, he is especially grateful to Hen, who gave him chest compressions after his heart stopped. In addition to some gifts to the department,

Eddie and Chimney’s fight gets a little too personal when arguing about who will go to space, but it makes more sense when they talk things out later on. Chimney feels conflicted about his new role as captain, because he is afraid of disrespecting Bobby’s memory.

9-1-1’s time jump has helped the show find a new version of its old tone again, but the show hasn’t forgotten about Bobby, either. The episode opens with everyone honoring Bobby in a dedication ceremony at the firehouse. In her grief, though, Athena skips the ceremony in favor of doing some undercover work. After spending five weeks catfishing a suspect through a dating app for an investigation, Athena goes on a date with him, but the FBI ruins this for her by arresting him themselves. Athena’s main storyline this episode is learning that Harry (

Later on in the episode, the 118 treats a patient named Gina (Tamra Moningham) with flesh-eating bacteria, and it’s a wake-up call for Athena. The episode sets up the fact that

Teen Mom fans may recall that Jenelle Evans once revealed her ex-husband, David Eason, was her soulmate. However, the soulmates now face each other in court. A month ago, Evans approached the authorities and requested that they summon her ex-husband and question him about why he has not paid the loans and debts he acquired after settling the divorce in July.

In the motion she filed on October 28, Jenelle stated that her ex-husband has not taken responsibility for the loans tied to the items he received during the settlement. While more details remain, the case now appears to favor Evans, as the judge has asked David Eason why the court should not hold him in contempt. Continue reading to learn more.

Fans may recall that Teen Mom star Jenelle and her ex-husband, David, finalized their divorce in July of this year. The former couple fought over the assets, but they eventually reached an agreement. According to them, they decided on the divorce through mediation. Starting with vehicles, David took Jenelle’s BMW, their boat, all the ATVs, and motorized toys. Evans kept only one car, a motorcycle, a golf cart, and a lawnmower.

Speaking of the jewellery, he kept their wedding ring and a drum set, while Jenelle took the rest of the jewellery. However, there’s a twist: she has to pay Eason $30,000 a month to balance the asset division. This payment is not alimony but a small part of their 50-50 split agreement.

Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans took David Eason to court after he failed to pay his loans and debts. The former couple filed for divorce in March 2024. Evans also revealed that, because her name is on the loans, Eason has not been paying the debts, and the loans have had a direct negative impact on her credit score.

According to The Ashley, on Thursday, Judge Sarah B. McPherson, who has been handling their divorce case, issued an “Order to Show Cause.” The judge also asked Eason to explain to the court why he has continuously disobeyed their orders. Furthermore, the judge stated that the court has noticed he has willfully violated its previous orders without providing any cause or excuse.

Judge McPherson has also ordered David to be present at the Columbus County, North Carolina, courthouse on December 1. Furthermore, he must “show cause, if any, why Defendant should not be held in contempt of court for failure to comply with the terms of this court’s previous order.” He was also ordered to bring all documents that reveal his income over the past six months. The judge also ordered to provide documentation showing the total value of his assets and debts for the same period.

Fans may recall that Eason has been living in his broken-down boat, which he received as an asset during the divorce settlement, ever since his ex-girlfriend threw him out of her home. The exes will face each other again at the next court date. Both have been fighting for custody of their daughter, Ensley. Keep coming back to TV Season & Spoilers for more Teen Mom updates.
