Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates reveal that Hank Northrop’s character has finally been revealed. Hank is the son of Wayne Norhrop, the original Roman Brady, and Lynn Herring (Lucy Coe, General Hospital, Lisanne Gardiner, DOOL) and he’ll play Liam Selejko.
The soap opera’s social media is alive with excitement as Salem gets ready to meet a troubled young man with a questionable background and connections to some well-known figures.
So, who is Liam Selejko-Northrop’s character is introduced in scenes alongside Abe Carver (James Reynolds), who has recently enrolled in a literacy program led by Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes)?
Abe’s initial task is to guide a young man named Liam, recently arrested for car theft, and Liam is required to participate in tutoring sessions-and that’s where their relationship starts.
To complicate matters, Abe soon discovers that Liam was previously a bully to his son Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews) in high school. This revelation sets the stage for significant father-son drama in the episodes to come.
Theo is not happy to find out that his dad is assisting the same person who bullied him during his teenage years. However, Abe, always the believer in second chances, thinks Liam deserves compassion after having both parents in prison.
Theo is skeptical about Liam’s transformation, which creates a strained relationship between the Carvers as Abe continues to mentor the young man against his son’s wishes.
Hank Northrop referred to Liam’s journey as ‘transformative,’ mentioning that his character will grow and even experience ‘a bit of fun’ along the way. Notwithstanding that Theo might not enjoy the type of fun Liam brings back to Salem.
We might also witness a new love triangle. Both Liam and Theo could find themselves attracted to Arianna Horton (Marissa Reyes).
Recent scenes depicted Theo flirting with Ari in Horton Square over coffee-and she certainly has a specific type. Ari’s mother, Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez), is unlikely to approve of either candidate.
She already has her doubts about Theo because of his DiMera ties, and Liam’s past criminal activities won’t help his situation either.
However, such disapproval might only encourage Ari’s rebellious nature, leading to typical Salem drama.
Fans are excited to see Wayne Northrop’s son following in his dad’s footsteps, acting alongside veteran James Reynolds. Wayne and James had a long history- Wayne portrayed Roman Brady from 1981 to 1984, and then again in the early ’90s.
Their bond adds emotional depth to this new generation pairing on Days of Our Lives. Hank’s debut next week is set to deliver a significant on-screen moment that connects the show’s past with its future.
Expect Liam Selejko to quickly become a name to remember-with his background with Theo, a potential romance with Ari, and undisclosed family ties, Hank Northrop’s first role could change Salem’s younger generation.

Speaking of Bode, he is the last thing Station 42 needs as a leader right now due to his volatility throughout this season. Plus, he repeatedly contemplated taking the painkillers he was holding, seeing them as an escape hatch through his grief. Manny uses his keen wisdom to assist Bode through this specific situation, but what if it happens again? Chief Richards shows remarkable leniency with Bode throughout the episode, recognizing that Bode is a son grieving over the tragic loss of his father. That said, Richards points out Bode’s recurring problem with authority, yet another reason Bode is not cut out for higher leadership in CAL Fire. Ultimately, Manny proves to be an exceptional leader who emotionally reaches Bode on a stronger level than Jake, Vince, or even his mother, Sharon (Diane Farr).
“Like a Wild Wildebeest” plays like a major turning point for Fire Country, resolving multiple ongoing conflicts while also introducing new ones. It sets up Manny as the new permanent battalion chief at Station 42 moving forward, and Bode finally gets rid of the painkillers. It also develops the intrigue of the note found in Vince’s guitar case from a mysterious individual, suggesting that Vince was having an affair, along with the reveal that the Zabel Ridge Fire that reached the Buena Vista facility that took Vince’s life was a case of arson. Fire Country has a lot to chew on moving forward for the rest of Season 4, but it’s great to see Manny leading the charge now in the aftermath of Vince’s passing.
Manny taking the lead at Station 42 is surprising because he did not even appear to be a candidate for the job at the start of the season. However, now that Manny has the job, it feels right because he’s always appeared as a seasoned mentor throughout the show’s run. He is honest to a fault, and he knows how to speak to his friends, family, and firefighters in their worst moments, showing a remarkable level of empathy, honesty, and understanding. Before Chief Richards leaves, he explains to Manny that what Station 42 needs now is “family healing,” and Manny is the only man in Edgewater who can make that a reality.
