Erika Jayne has evolved throughout her time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She joined in 2015 for Season 6 as Mrs. Girardi, aloof and dripping in diamonds. Five years later, the RHOBH veteran left that marriage with nothing but a lot accusations that she had to fight off in court.
One could assume the highly stressful experience would bring out the worst in a person. Her costars accused her of being callous towards the victims of Tom Girardi’s embezzlement scam. Perhaps there could have been more empathy for Erika’s emotions. Regardless of what others thought of her behavior, Erika maintains that she was always honest and vulnerable in front of the camera.
Erika denied ever playing a “character” while on RHOBH. Rather she admitted to the “ugly sides” of her personality that have “come out” at times. The Pretty Mess singer made the comments on the No BS Convos with Colette podcast.
“This isn’t a character. There are ugly sides of my personality that have come out,” Erika told podcast host Colette Laxton.
The RHOBH veteran star alluded to Season 15 drama. She spoke of “BS” from select cast members who don’t “allow other women” to have “success.” And those that cannot be “happy for them.”
“There is enough food at the table for all of us. We can all support each other honestly and openly. Just because one of us succeeds doesn’t mean you aren’t going to. Let’s be happy for one another when one of our friends or one of our acquaintances, somebody you don’t even know, a woman steps out and is successful. Just, like, be happy for her,” Erika opined.
She continued, “I’ve gone through the worst part of my life on television, and I’m putting my life back together, still am. I would do things, like I would get a good job or I would have my Vegas residency, and I would see these people just tear it down and just try to … dig at you. It’s like, hold on, guys, I’m out here trying to rebuild my life one brick at a time, and we don’t need that.”
Women supporting each other can be “rare.” Erika singled out “people on my show and in my friend group” as well. The singer needed support “during a time when you’re literally putting something together, build a foundation of a new life.”
“If you succeed, I kind of feel like I succeed because I can watch you, and you’ve opened doors that make it easier for me to walk through,” she concluded.
Catch the premiere of Season 15 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Thursday, December 4 at 8/7c on Bravo. It is currently streaming on Peacock.
Tempers flare, secrets slip, and charm turns dangerous in Port Charles.
The General Hospital spoilers for Friday, November 14, reveal that Trina and Jordan clash, while Sidwell turns on the charm with Ava. Plus, Carly is in for a shock.
Key Takeaways
In a move that should not surprise anyone, Trina (Tabyana Ali) clashes with Jordan (Tanisha Harper). Yes, the college student is grown, but part of her still wants her parents to be together. After all, they haven’t been reunited for
And now she sees their marriage in disrepair. In fact, Portia (Brook Kerr) and Curtis (Donnell Turner) are headed for a divorce. And Trina knows that her mom partially (and emphatically) blames Jordan for this development.
Trina already cornered Jordan at The Brown Dog, where she politely asked her dad’s ex-wife to back off. Well, something tells us that the tone of this next interaction won’t be so calm and collected. At least not on Trina’s part. What will she have to say to Jordan this time? Note to Jordan: Please keep Portia’s pregnancy to yourself this time, mmmkay?
Meanwhile, Ava (Maura West) and Sidwell (Carlo Rota) are beginning to form a connection. Ava has already impressed Sidwell. And we all know that she loves men who are dangerous.
Look for Sidwell to turn on the charm with Ava. Is this all genuine on his part, or does he simply want to get close to Ava for her extensive knowledge of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard)? Maybe Sidwell realizes that Ava could be very valuable in his plans to take down his rival.
Speaking of Sonny, lately, he has been spending time with Port Charles ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor). He has even cooked for the woman. He has also tried to manipulate her into looking at anyone but Michael (Rory Gibson) when it comes to the Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) shooting investigation. Although he did apologize for that.
Needless to say, Sonny and Justine are growing closer. She has shown up at his house looking for help with her car. They have thrown axes together. And, of course, there was that time Justine overheard Drew threaten Sonny in his own home. The sharp attorney seems to think she can get close to the coffee importer, and he will let down his guard long enough to incriminate himself. Unfortunately for Justine, her plan suddenly unravels. Is that because she’s getting too close to the dapper don?
Weekly teasers reveal that Carly (Laura Wright) is in for a shock, and Britt’s fears are confirmed. This may be related to the recent break-in at the lab. If it is, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) probably has opinions on what happened. Like Rocco (Finn Carr) stole her key to sneak his way in.
While Rocco, Charlotte (Bluesy Burke), and Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) teamed up to break in and break the law, Rocco took one for the team so Danny and Charlotte could escape without getting caught. Britt’s a smart woman. She dug through her purse, so she probably knows that her key fob is gone and that Rocco snagged it. Will she help him get out of this tight spot, or will she stand back and let the boy she birthed rack up a police record?
