Ally Lewber is serving up more details about the night of James Kennedy’s arrest.
Over two months after announcing she and the Vanderpump Rules alum had broken up after three years together, the astrologer explained the moments that led up to his December arrest for misdemeanor domestic violence.
She had been working at Kathy Hilton’s holiday party, reading the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum her birth chart before rejoining James.
“When I was finished working and came out to the party, that’s when it was like, ‘Oh, his whole demeanor changed,’” Ally told
And though the StarStruck podcast host was hesitant to believe that James—who has been open about his alcohol addiction—had broken his sobriety at the party, she alleged that the moment “kind of spiraled” once the pair got in a car to head home.
“I was like, ‘You’re obviously drunk,’” Ally said she told James, “because he has a sip and it’s pretty easy to spot.”

Following their exchange, Ally said the police showed up, though she said she doesn’t know who called them.
“They assessed the situation, and I was not hurt physically,” she continued. “Emotionally, yes. That’s kind of how that night played out, unfortunately.”
While Ally shared in the interview that she was not physically assaulted, a third person present on the night of the incident stated that a man “lifted” his girlfriend up “and threw her to the ground,” according to an arrest log obtained by E! News. Prosecutors ultimately decided not to charge the
Since Ally said James had been “drinking again behind my back,” she decided to seek therapy and encouragement from friends and family to leave the DJ for good.

“I never was physically hurt and I never felt unsafe,” she shared with People. “It was more just walking on eggshells and feeling anxious about, when is his next blow-up going to be?”
She added, “And I didn’t even realize this really until I was out of the house for a while, but just how my nervous system just feels normal again. It was always kind of anxious of making sure that he doesn’t get upset. Monitoring someone’s behavior is not healthy.”
But despite her public relationship and breakup, Ally has been able to find gratitude for her experiences.
“I’m weirdly grateful because it made me face the facts,” she said, later adding, “It was just a lot of wake-up calls that needed to happen, but it wasn’t easy in the moment.”
E! News has reached out to James’ rep for comment on her interview but has not heard back.
Following his arrest, James spoke out and shared that he was focusing on his personal improvement.
“I am committed to making meaningful changes in my life,” he wrote on his Instagram Stories in December. “I am taking time to focus on my sobriety, personal growth, and being present for loved ones.”
The 33-year-old added, “Navigating challenging moments is not easy, but I am determined to learn, grow, and move forward with the incredible support system around me.”
Since that December update, James celebrated in January that he was 48 days sober.

Part one of the reunion for season 19 of RHOC featured several revelations. This included Tamra stating that
In the preview, Andy Cohen can be seen asking Jennifer and Tamra where their friendship exists today. Jenn said, “I don’t know. I mean, that’s the honest truth.”
Tamra then agreed. They both said that they had not seen each other since filming for season 19 wrapped, with Jenn adding, “We don’t talk. We don’t see each other.”
She then said, “For me, it’s hard to navigate you [Tamra], and I don’t know sometimes what version of you I’m gonna get. I actually feel like, Tamra, you just don’t like me, and that’s okay.”
Tamra chimed in, “No, that’s not true.”
Jenn then stated that she had felt like she was fighting for a friendship that was never real, prompting Tamra to say, “You weren’t fighting for a friendship this season.” Jenn then confirmed this, saying that she was just kind of “over it.”
From there, she said that Tamra is “hellbent” on telling others that she isn’t who she says she is and that she “lies.” Tamra then said, “Every scene that we would film, you were always poking at me.” The clip then cuts to unaired footage of Jenn and Tamra arguing.
Later in the preview, Tamra discussed how she felt that Jenn had previously singled her out to get on the show. Tamra then went on to accuse Jenn of imitating her life. She said she bought a house on her street. However, in the end, Tamra admitted that she wasn’t living on the street when Jenn was.
Tamra went on, “Then all of a sudden, you were going to my doctor, we’re at the same hair salon, you came to the gym, and you wanted to do a fitness competition.”
“You were just a normal girl who had a gym a mile away from my yoga studio, and I was looking to train, and I loved your husband. That’s it,” Jenn responded.
Further along in the preview, Heather Dubow chimed in and discussed all the things Tamra previously said about Jenn wanting to be her. She mentioned her hair extensions and Jenn moving near her. Jenn asked, “But you understand none of that’s true? Not one of those statements is true.” Heather said she did understand.
This led Tamra to question Jenn, saying, “But you did use the hair extensions,” before the cast agreed that Jenn did that as a joke. They also discussed Tamra showing the old photo of Jenn and her reasoning behind doing so. In the end, she apologized to Jenn.
