LeAnn Rimes candidly reacted to fans who questioned whether she got a boob job for her role as Dixie on ABC’s new hit series 9-1-1: Nashville.
During an Instagram Q&A on Sunday, November 9, Rimes, 43, poked fun at a comment she received, which just read, “boob job.”
“If you are referring to my boobs, I can’t believe I am talking about my boobs,” she quipped. “But if you are referring to my boobs in some of the videos that I have been posting when it comes to my character in 9-1-1: Nashville, I have the most massive push-up bra of life on.”
Rimes clarified that she didn’t have any procedures. “In fact, when I took off the bra one day, my boobs stayed up by my chin a bit before they fell,” she joked. “So no, I did not get a boob job. Nothing that has not been there already.”
9-1-1: Nashville, which premiered in October, introduced the newest group of TV firefighters with Captain Don Hart (Chris O’Donnell), his wife, Blythe (Jessica Capshaw), and their son, Ryan (
“I was talking the other day to Rob Lowe and he was talking about how, ‘If you want reality, you don’t go to this series. We have the craziest rescues, which is what’s so interesting,’” Rimes exclusively told Us Weekly last month about joining the 9-1-1 universe. “We’ll be like, ‘There’s no way this has happened before in real life.’ Then they’ll show us the articles because they’re pulling from real-life situations.”
Rimes loved the campiness that comes with 9-1-1: Nashville.
“If you think about it — in the world of however many millions of people there are — this stuff is bound to happen to somebody. Every time we think it hasn’t really happened, there’s an article for that that shows you it has,” she noted. “What I love about it is once you buy into the craziness of this show, you just fall in love with it.”
She continued: “I remember watching the first couple episodes of 9-1-1. I was like, ‘What am I watching?’ And then about the third episode, I was like, ‘Whoa, I’m totally into their own reality.’ You just fall in love with it.”
During her recent cover story with Us, Rimes teased how divisive her role would be, saying, “I think people will love to hate her — and they’ll really love her too. She’s a villain but she’s also really lovable. There’s still so many lovable qualities about her but she’s so manipulative and she will exploit her son’s love for all it’s worth.”
Rimes recalled going all out for the audition, which set the tone for the show.
“I was asked to come read — and I had not read for a role since I was 17. I went and I was like, ‘If I blow it, whatever, it’s not a big deal,’” she added. “For my audition scene, Dixie smokes and so I went and bought a pack of cigarettes. I sat around the house and — without lighting it since I’ve never smoked in my life — I was messing with the cigarette. I took them to the audition and I was like, ‘I’m gonna use these.’”
Rimes continued: “My hand was so shaking at the very first read and once I got through with that, I was like, ‘OK, can we do it again? Like, now that I’ve gotten through it.’ I wasn’t even home yet before they called and offered me the job.”
A DANCING with the Stars fan-favorite pro has warned she’s willing to walk away from the show due to being ‘very unhappy’ with the treatment of her co-star, The U.S. Sun can reveal.
This comes as the latest potential cast shakeup following a season of behind-the-scenes drama, on-camera tension, and feuds between the pros.
Following the series of drama during season 34 of DWTS, a production insider has now teased that even more changes are on the way.
In recent weeks, DWTS pro Pasha Pashkov received some harsh feedback from the judges, including Carrie Ann Inaba, who told the dancer that he needed to step it up with his “repetitive” choreography.
It seems Carrie Ann, 57, wasn’t the only one on the show who feels Pasha, 39, needs to improve as producers are considering if he should make the cut next season.
“Producers are questioning if Pasha has what it takes to continue being a pro after a few setbacks this season.
“It’s causing some tension with Daniella on the set and behind the scenes because she will fight tooth and nail for Pasha,” a source said of Pasha’s wife and co-star, Daniella Karagach.
Daniella, 32, has been regarded as one of the “best pros” the show has ever hired and is widely considered a fan-favorite since she joined full-time in 2020.
“[Daniella] will stick up for him and fight for him harder than anything, so she’s not happy with some of the comments production and the judges have made on camera and off camera.
“She’s warned them that if he gets fired, she will walk too. And they cannot afford to lose her.
“The show loves her, the fans love her, and she is one of the most talented dancers the show has ever cast, so the producers have to tread lightly to do what’s best for the show,” the source claimed.
They added that there is “still a lot of time” to figure out next season’s cast as the decisions are typically made in the weeks leading up to the premiere.
“Daniella isn’t the only pro to stick up for Pasha. All of the fellow dancers, and the contestants, love him too.
“So he’s got a network of support standing behind him,” the insider claimed.
Russian dancer Pasha first joined the show as a pro in 2019 and won over fans’ hearts when he was paired with The Office actress Kate Flannery.
Daniella, who was already married to Pasha at the time, also joined the show this same year but as a member of the dance troupe.
She became a pro the following year in 2020 and was partnered with rapper Nelly.
The pair were an instant hit with the audience and reached the finale, coming in third place overall.
In just her second season as a pro on DWTS, Daniella took home the Mirrorball Trophy for an incredible run with former NBA star, Iman Shumpert.
The pair’s massive height difference made it challenged to choreograph routines however, Daniella was praised for adapting and figuring out a way to make it work.
Meanwhile, Pasha has never won the competition before and has only made it to the finale once in his DWTS career – when he placed third in season 32 with partner Ariana Madix.
